After reading the rave reviews, I was excited to receive this game as a Christmas gift. I am a board game junkie and I’m always looking for new party games. Well, I finally had a party at my house this past weekend and this is the first game we played.

At my party, there were 21 people playing, ranging in age from their early 20’s to late 30’s. Since I live in a small condo, some of the challenges posed by the Bouncers game required too much space.

With Cranium you’re guaranteed to have fun.

I’m not sure if it is because my fiance and I have been playing Cranium since it came out or what but I didn’t think this was as fun as others were reviewing it as.

The humming category is terrible. It has too many odd songs, either are really OLD or hard as heck to hum. We’ve started playing without those in the pile.

Make sure to play with good/close friends because the one dice category is so unfair if you don’t really know someone in the group (say, someone’s new girlfriend). It’s an easy way to cheat if only 1 person knows that person.

They have fun categories…I just think it was built not so good. They have a good idea, they just need to modify it a little bit.

If you need a game for a party, this is an OK game to have. I’d recommend all the Cranium games over this though…

I bought two of these games this Christmas; one for my niece and one for my friend’s daughter. They are both 21 and attending college. Being social butterflies as they are, this game has provided extra entertainment at all of their parties. They take to all of their parties and their only complaint is that it has a lot of pieces to collect after a long night of recreation. They both love it, especially with all of the various games you can play. THIS IS AN IDEAL GIFT FOR THE COLLEGE PARTY LIFE….NOT FOR TEENAGERS!

It was shipped very quickly, but we were disapointed in the ease of playing the game.

After reading the rave reviews, I was excited to receive this game as a Christmas gift. I am a board game junkie and I’m always looking for new party games. Well, I finally had a party at my house this past weekend and this is the first game we played. What a disappointment!!!

We all thought this game was lame and lacking in creativity and fun. And the rules…OMG! Every game has a new set so we kept having to refer back to the instructions. One of our guests had played this at another party and she was surprised we even managed to get through an entire game. At the other party, they gave up after a few rounds. It was just too frustrating having to refer back to the instructions constantly.

At my party, there were 21 people playing, ranging in age from their early 20’s to late 30’s. Since I live in a small condo, some of the challenges posed by the Bouncers game required too much space. Hum Punch was beyond difficult. Most of the songs we had never heard of before or were beyond hummable. In the end, we opted to change how that game worked. Playing the other games, a Topic was given so the answers were shouted out before the picture was drawn, acted out, or sculpted. For instance, sculpt something found “at a gym”. Well, before the person started sculpting, answers were shouted, “weights”, “bodybuilders”, “treadmill”, etc. Since it’s meant to be fun, I’m not going to tell my game players to wait before the action is started.

I don’t know. This game just didn’t work for us at all. I’d definitely save your money and stick with Cranium. You’re guaranteed to have more fun with that game.

Hated this game. Got rid of it after one playing. The bouncing ball was fun. Some of the answers were too obscure and unfamiliar to us.

    Fellow Studs,

No joke this book is actually AMAZING! I had to have a diaper on when I read this book. 1) Because it was so funny I about pissed myself and 2) I got so drunk I about shat myself(gross and yet so awesome)! Truly this is a great book to have on your bookshelf and a amazing reference guide. I cannot stress this enough, just read this book… You will get addicted.

Great gift for friends, not sure we would ever play all the games. But good fun.

I was looking for a little guide of drinking games to keep on my bookshelf and use when my friends came over. I searched under Amazon and found many good reviews for this book, so I bought it (actually I used a gift certificate fortunately. If I had spent my own money, I would have been really upset). I can’t understand the positive reviews of this book, and while I can’t prove it, I wonder if any of the author’s frat brothers wrote a review or two for this book.

Nearly every sentence in this book has the author chiming in with some joke or quip. It’s very difficult to understand even the simplest of games with all of his asides. I wish he had just explained things more clearly without trying to be so funny (and believe, he’s not funny. He’s probably been drunk his whole life and thinks he is funny). This was a huge waste of money. I couldn’t understand what he was talking about, I found his writing style annoying, and so I just threw this book in the garbage. If you are smarter than me, you will just go on the internet and find hundreds of webpages that explain much more fun and more clearly explained drinking games.

I remember the excitement of opening my high school graduation gift from Aunt Beatrice. It was this book. My Aunt B assured me that this book was the key to a fulfilling and successful college career. As I begin my junior year, I reflect on my college times thus far and realize that Aunt B was right.

This book definitely helped make the transition from high school to college a smooth one. I was able to participate in all the fun games on campus with working knowledge of the correct rules. In a few cases, I was able to introduce upperclassmen to new games and intervene/referee during controversial moments in play.

In just a few months, my little brother will be graduating from high school and embarking on his college experience. I will be purchasing this vital reference volume for him. How proud he will be to put this book alongside his dictionary, thesaurus, and encyclopedia set. This book is an excellent gift for a new grad, a college kid, or a middle-aged guy needing to brush up on his favorite games. Bottoms Up!!

Yale must be more fun than I thought…

This book is a must for any college student or just someone looking to have a good drinking game experience. The simple synonyms alone for getting sick and being drunk are a reason alone to buy this book, not to mention the 50 or so games which by any standards are down right fun and “entertaining”. I suggest that anyone looking for some really good drinking games buy this book, its sure to make a dull night on campus turn into a wet, beer soaked one real quick!!!
