If you are sitting and reading or watching TV it is very cozy. The main drawback it that it is LONG and if you stand up and walk you have to be careful not to trip on it. We bought one for Grandma and because of that tripping danger we may have to use it ourselves instead. There is no back or closure or pockets...it is what it is, so you just have to sit in one place to be snuggly warm.
