  This was a great movie – the acting is a bit awkward at times, but that almost makes the characters more real and that much more appealing. They reminded me of people I know…and of those twisted conversations you can only have with your closest friends (usually while under the influence).

  I wish i could give this movie no stars, but unfortunately that is not an option. I rented this movie with a friend thinking it would be funny, especially since the label compared it to Clerks. This movie does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as clerks. This movie was in the comedy section…the only thing funny about it, was that some movie company actually let this peice of … be released. The dialogue was not witty at all and clearly tries to emulate much of the dialogue from clerks. In once scene the slut of the group is asked how many guys she slept with…her answer 63. In clerks Veronica tells dante she had oral sex with 36 guys, what is 36 reversed? The whole movie is chock full of cliches. The subject has been touched upon thousands of times before and in much more original and thought provoking ways. How can you take someone’s suicide seriously when the person’s boyfried sleeps with her younger sister the night of her funeral. The only reason we watched the whole movie was to see if it could get an worse and it did. We should have known from the start that it would be bad. A line in the opening song goes…”they call it the past because it passes you by.” Near the mid point of the movie stoner fried walks in…what an original idea. Every character in this movie was a walking stereotype. If I had friends like the people in the movie…id probably kill myself too. Watching this movie made me want to kill myself. Luckily i listened to Tool, true artists, and was saved. To quote one of the greatest shows ever…”Worst movie ever.”

  This movie even though slightly grainy you are endured by the character development and you kind of root on characters as they talk about anything and everythingto keep their minds off a passed away friend. It came out the same time as clerks and has a same dialogue. “beer run” Kind of resembles the big chill.

  This is a very good film with some excellent special features. The film is about friends who get together after the suicide of their friend and drink to disassociate themselves from the strong feelings they are experiencing. Their conversation runs from theology to raunchy sex and is witty and thought provoking.

  As for the special features, the interactive drinking game (Drink-O-Vision) was a fantastic time. My friends and I could barely walk after the film. There was also director’s commentary that gave great advise on how to make an independent film, an interview with the filmmakers, and a library of drinking games. There were other special features, however these were my favorite.

  Check out this disc, it was excellent.

  This movie was terrible. A Gen-X version of “The Big Chill” sans the great music or good acting, for that matter. I don’t have much more to say about the movie other than it was BAD.

  The only redeeming quality of this DVD (which is obviously absent from the VHS tape) is that it has a feature with drinking games on it. Kind of a neat little library, if you ask me, to keep on hand for a party (or a private or personal binge, though I don’t recommend that). They even make the movie itself into a drinking game in that you identify yourself with a character (each character drinks more or less than the others on average) and drink whenever that character drinks. There are also other rules for when you have to drink (ie, whenever anyone mentions sex).

  Frankly, I am not one for independent movies, really, but some have blown me away. This, unfortunately, didn’t come even close to that, and I wanted to pull my own hair out one by one by the end of the movie. If I could get this DVD super cheaply, I would buy it for the drinking games library, but I would much rather play a drinking game with another movie or a TV show. I’m sure you can find great ones on the internet.
