What is Beer Pong? (This website is intended for people of drinking age. We do not endorse underage drinking. Be a Friend, do not let friends drive drunk!)
Beer Pong is a beer drinking game where players throw ping-pong balls across a long table trying to get the ball into one of several cups of beer on the other side. Beer Pong usually has two, two-player teams and multiple cups set up on each side in a triangle
formation. There are official WSOBP rules, which you can see by clicking on the “Rules and Regulations” page to the right, but people in different areas and countries come up with their own rules, which vary widely. In the U.S. there are usually six or ten plastic cups arranged in a triangle on each side.
The goal of Beer Pong is to eliminate the other teams’ cups before your teams’ cups are eliminated. When a ball lands in a cup, usually filled 1/4 to 1/3 full, that cup is eliminated and the opposite team must drink all the beer in the cup.
The order of playing Beer Pong can vary. Either both players on one team shoot followed by both players on the other team, or players on opposite teams can alternate back and forth.

Tournaments and leagues
Beer pong tournaments are held in the United States at the local, regional, and national levels.
The World Series of Beer Pong (WSOBP), hosted by bpong.com, is the largest beer pong tournament in the world. WSOBP IV, held in January 2009 had a $50,000 grand prize and attracted over 800 participants from the US and Canada. The World Beer Pong Tour has stops in various cities and cash prizes as well.
A more common organization of beer pong games are leagues which operate on a local or regional level. Ordinarily, a group of pong enthusiasts will create teams and play weekly against each other. Sometimes, the leagues have websites, rankings and statistics, while others have been started by college students with the goal of intramural competition with various Beer Pong Leagues.
